Making your own chocolate is a great way to keep your snack healthy. This homemade chocolate bark is so simple to make and contains all natural and healthy ingredients.
Fruit & Nut Chocolate Bark
- 75g (1/2 cup) coconut oil (solid weight)
- 2 Tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
- 2 Tbsp xylitol
- Optional extras: nuts, dried fruit, shredded coconut. I used
- 25g hazelnuts
- 25g almonds
- 25g raisins
- Place the coconut oil in a saucepan over a low heat. When melted add the cocoa powder and xylitol and whisk until blended. Stir continuously over a low heat until the xylitol has completely dissolved. Remove from the heat and add the nuts & raisins. Place a large sheet of greaseproof paper in a shallow cake tin and pour the mixture in. Place in the fridge or freezer until set then break into pieces. Store in the fridge.
