Fresh Ginger Lemonade

Fresh lemonade on a warm summers day is hard to beat and this delicious drink is packed full of Vitamin C plus you get the wonderful anti-inflammatory effects from the ginger that boosts your immune system at the same time.

Ingredients
  1. 70g fresh ginger root
  2. 3 lemons
  3. 80ml (1/3 cup) maple syrup
  4. 1 litre (4 cups) cold water
Instructions
  1. Peel the ginger, roughly chop and place in a blender.
  2. Halve the lemons and squeeze the juice into the blender.
  3. Blend on high speed until nice and smooth.
  4. Add the maple syrup and mix well.
  5. Pour the lemon ginger mixture through a sieve to remove the fibrous pieces of ginger and any lemon seeds.
  6. Mix with the cold water and serve over ice.
