Hi, I'm Sharon and I'm passionate about helping women with stress incontinence and pelvic organ prolapse rehabilitate their pelvic floor.
"A little bit of wee won't stop me", so says the makers of incontinence products, but unfortunately it does impact womens lives. If you're worried about leaking it can stop you...
* exercising or playing sports
* wearing certain items of clothing
* playing with your children or grandchildren
* enjoying sex
Thankfully there is something you can do to regain confidence in your body, ditch the pads and live your life to the fullest.
I've worked in the health and fitness industry for 19 years and taught Pilates for 17 years. When I first started teaching, the pelvic floor was simply 'part of the core', but after the birth of my son in 2007, I realised it was so much more than that!
Our pelvic floor muscles play such an important role yet most of us ignore them - until they stop doing their job properly. This can happen at any time in our lives but lots of women notice it as they enter their 40's and 50's - the menopause years.
You may been told to "do your pelvic floor exercises" by your midwife/GP/gynecologist, but were you told how to do them correctly? (My free guide tells you exactly how). But getting a strong, healthy pelvic floor is so much more than doing your Kegels. It's about posture and movement and lifestyle factors and so much more. Which is why I created this blog and it's why I'm in the process of creating an online course which will show you step by step how to rehabilitate your pelvic floor.
I look forward to meeting you on the blog soon.
